We continue with our discussions on the rise in food prices attributed to the ethanol subsidies.

We start our study in the Old Testament book of Hosea. One of the interesting items that is a discussion and comparison of words: Jew vs. Judean vs. Judahite vs. Israel.

Included in this lesson in the book of Hosea is a discussion of the 1967 Oxford Press footnotes in the Scofield Reference Bible that claim that modern Israel is the earthly bride of the of the Lord while the church of Christ is the heavenly bride of Christ.

One of the questions that came up during our study of Hosea related to whether or not there was a connection between the Ashkenazi converts to Judaism in the 9th century A.D. and the ancient people of Judah. Be sure to check this one out.
