There are a growing number of Jews around the world who have gone from ardent Zionists to critics of Israel and its occupation of Palestine. In this remarkable and courageous documentary, "Jews Step Forward," 23 Jews tell their stories of transformation. Be sure to watch the entire 112 minute documentary to fully understand the difficult process these people went through to come to the conclusions they made to resist Israel's national march to national suicide. World famous Israeli conductor, Daniel Barenboim, defined the situation in Israel, perfectly, in his acceptance speech to the Israel Knesset for the Wolf Prize, one of Israel's highest honors for "achievements in the interest of mankind and friendly relations among people ... irrespective of nationality, race, colour, religion, sex or political views." Mr. Barenboim remarked: "I am asking today with deep sorrow: Can we, despite all our achievements, ignore the intolerable gap between what the Declaration of Independence promised and what was fulfilled, the gap between the idea and the realities of Israel? Does the condition of occupation and domination over another people fit the Declaration of Independence? Is there any sense in the independence of one at the expense of the fundamental rights of the other? Can the Jewish people whose history is a record of continued suffering and relentless persecution, allow themselves to be indifferent to the rights and suffering of a neighboring people? Can the State of Israel allow itself an unrealistic dream of an ideological end to the conflict instead of pursuing a pragmatic, humanitarian one based on social justice?"
Israel is very proud of its legal system that so cleverly denies building permits to Palestinians, but legitimizes illegal (under international law) Israeli settlements in the West Bank of Palestine. A case in point is the Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar that is slated for demolition. Professor Frank Romano found out the consequences of non-violent protesting against the destruction of this village. Professor Romano explains beautifully in this 2 1/2 minute video. For background info on Khan al-Ahnar, take a look at these articles from the Israeli newspaper, Harretz: "Everything You Need to Know About the West Bank Bedouin Village at the Eye of a Diplomatic Storm," "In Unusual Move, Israeli Army Arrests French-American Law Professor in West Bank" and "Why Did Israel Handcuff and Deport a French-American Law Professor?"
A most critical fact about President Donald Trump is that he is an invention of the International Bankers Cabal (IBC) that owns and controls the Federal Reserve System. The IBC is the faceless structure that creates the FED dollars necessary to finance the private wars which, like most of his predecessors, President Trump is inciting with every passing day. The IBC also influences the major international news media. These brewing wars are enveloping our current youngest adult generation, the Millennials, much as WWII dominated the lives of the so-called “Greatest Generation.” In this controversial, 19 minute, podcast, Chuck Carlson and members of We Hold These Truths discuss Chuck's ground breaking article, "The Bankers’ Unfolding Scheme for War on the Millennial Generation." Background material referenced in the podcast: "Federal Reserve’s Role in Financing America’s Wars," War Is A Racket" by Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler and "Perpetual War For Perpetual Peace" by Gore Vidal.
The Southern Baptist Convention's leadership loves to defend Israel, using mostly political arguments or corrupted biblical theology. Since our first vigil in Nov. 2002, We Hold These Truths has been challenging Southern Baptists and their leaders. (see: "WHTT Asks Southern Baptist Convention Messengers To Choose Life Not War") In this 33 minute podcast, Chuck Carlson and members of WHTT discuss biblical responses to the Southern Baptists surrounding their recent support for the move of the American embassy, in Israel, to Jerusalem. The dedication ceremony was led by a prayer given by Southern Baptist Pastor Robert Jeffress (see: "Dallas Pastor Uses Bible To Justify Killing N Korea Boss").
