Over the past few years, Israel's ongoing military occupation of Palestinian territory and repeated invasions of the Gaza strip have triggered a fierce backlash against Israeli policies virtually everywhere in the world -- except the United States. The Occupation of the American Mind takes an eye-opening look at this critical exception, zeroing in on pro-Israel public relations efforts within the U.S. Narrated by Roger Waters and featuring leading observers of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and U.S. media culture, the film explores how the Israeli government, the U.S. government, and the pro-Israel lobby have joined forces, often with very different motives, to shape American media coverage of the conflict in Israel's favor. From the U.S.-based public relations campaigns that emerged in the 1980s to today, the film provides a sweeping analysis of Israel's decades-long battle for the hearts, minds, and tax dollars of the American people in the face of widening international condemnation of its increasingly right-wing policies. Narrated by Roger Waters / Featuring Amira Hass, M.J. Rosenberg, Stephen M. Walt, Noam Chomsky, Rula Jebreal, Henry Siegman, Rashid Khalidi, Rami Khouri, Yousef Munayyer, Norman Finkelstein, Max Blumenthal, Phyllis Bennis, Norman Solomon, Mark Crispin Miller, Peter Hart, and Sut Jhally.
In this video, our founder, Charles E. Carlson speaks about his solo walk-in visit to the Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip in March 2002. There he witnessed and filmed an Israeli bombing raid from the roof of a building owned by the Southern Baptist Convention. Chuck gave this account to members of the Institute for Historical Review two years later. The video account of this bombing raid can be seen in our documentary, “The Roots of Christian Zionism: How Scofield Sowed Seeds of Apostasy”. In the second segment of this 50-minute talk, he explains Zionist Christian's distortion of the bible and why its followers support Israel despite its documented brutality toward the Palestinians. His talk marked the beginning of We Hold These Truths' nineteen-year study of and challenge to the biblical corruption that has fostered Israel's unbroken history of killings. The publication referred by Chuck in his presentation is "The Source of Our War Problem: Why Judeo-Christians Do Not Demand Peace".
We Hold These Truths has been working for peace in the Holy Land since 2002. This documentary was made to challenge Christians who believe that the modern state of Israel is a fulfillment of biblical prophecy even to the exclusion of Palestinian Christians living there. Our 29-minute documentary was recognized as a contribution to peace by being given a special award at the 4th Ammar Popular Film Festival in Tehran, Iran, in January 2014. This film exposes what should be three, obvious truths: 1. The US has a war based economy that is dependent upon the support for its many wars by Christians under the influence of Christian Zionism. 2. Christian Zionism is a corruption of traditional Christianity that has been promoted for just over 100 years, through the Scofield Reference Bible. 3. The Palestinians have been under a brutal military occupation by Israel since 1967. An example of this brutality was an Israeli attack on Gaza that killed four and wounded 40 in 2002, which was witnessed, videoed, and reported by Charles E. Carlson, the Writer/Director of this documentary. This attack was four years before Hamas came to power and the 3 devastating wars on Gaza in 2008/2009, 2012, and 2014 The last major assault on Gaza in 2014, “Operation Protective Edge” resulted in over 2,000 Palestinians killed of whom were 500 children. This planned operation has turned into a genocidal assault on Gaza with the Israelis bombing hospitals and schools, and civilian casualties hovering around 75% of the total while destroying the infrastructure of the world’s largest, open-air prison (Bob Simon of CBS News described Gaza this way in 2009 in an interview with Charlie Rose). Today, Gaza is on the brink of being uninhabitable.
If Israel is the only true US ally in the Middle East why would Israeli forces deliberately attack the USS Liberty surveillance ship sitting in international waters during the 1967 "Six-Day War"? And, why would President Lyndon Johnson order the cover-up of the attack that killed 34 and wounded 172 of the 294 man complement? Craig Hanson of We Hold These Truths delves into the little known history that has been so successfully hidden for over 50 years. Christians usually refer to two distinct covenants, the Old and the New, the times before and after the coming of Jesus. Find out about the concept of a Dual Covenant and its connection to the theology of "Christian Zionism" in this video with Chuck Carlson, Craig Hanson and Tom Compton of We Hold These Truths. Referenced in the program are: "What is Dual-Covenant Theology?" and "A Theological Response to Christian Zionism By Dr. Rob Dalrymple".
Chuck Carlson and members of We Hold These Truths will look behind the Federal Reserve's curtain hidden behind the mainstream media spin masters. Reuters published a new list of the financial manipulations planned by the Federal Reserve System (FED) to support the economy in the article "What the Federal Reserve has done in the coronavirus crisis". Reuters tells part of the truth about the Federal Reserve Bank, but not a word of who runs it, nor how this money creation affects our lives by diluting the value of dollars we hold, spend, save and depend upon. (See Chuck's analysis in "Press’ Half Truth Policy about Covid-19 and Our Money")
In the middle of a pandemic, a financial collapse is lurking around the corner. Will the solution to avoid a depression in the US and around the world be another war against a more credible enemy like China or Russia? Chuck Carlson, a former stockbroker and founder of We Hold These Truths, focuses on the bizarre tactics of the Federal Reserve to pump the economy into prosperity. What's going on?
Chuck Carlson, Craig Hanson and Tom Compton of We Hold These Truths discuss the medical, political and financial events surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic event presently gripping the world. Chuck Carlson, a former stockbroker will focus on the financial implications and ramifications of the current crisis as described in his article "The Money War to Come After the Covid-19 Crisis Ends."
We Hold These Truths' California Outreach Director, Craig Hanson discusses with Chuck Carlson the implications for peace and justice or lack thereof revealed at the March 2-3, 2020 annual meeting of AIPAC, the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee, in Washington, DC. At the convention, luminaries like Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo champion the concept that Anti-Zionism is a form of anti-Semitism. In other words, criticism of unjust Israeli policies and actions toward Palestinians constitutes anti-semitism and "Enemies of the State."
Chuck Carlson and Craig Hanson discuss the implications of a video by Vox, "How a Bible prophecy shapes Trump’s foreign policy," that has had over a million views. It exposes the impact of Christian Zionists on US policies with Israel and Palestine. Also, the Telos Group, a supporter of Palestinian rights is discussed in light of the funding for it by George Soros, who says he is not a Zionist.
The founding of Israel in 1948 has become a major, theological focal point for millions of American evangelical Christians. In 2001 We Hold These Truths founder, Chuck Carlson, had an ongoing dialog with a “Judaeo-Christian” (who would now be called a “Christian Zionist”) named Sherry that resulted in a six-part series that can be read at “Sherry’s War: A Second Look“. Chuck and Craig Hanson discuss what made Sherry believe that the modern state of Israel is a fulfillment of biblical prophecy and think the way she did. The analysis in this video presentation is carried up to the current state of Christian Zionism.
American evangelical Christians have been conditioned to accept the modern state of Israel as being a fulfillment of biblical prophecy through national Bible studies like Precepts Ministries, founded by Kay Arthur. In this 30-minute video program Chuck Carlson, Craig Hanson and Tom Compton of We Hold These Truths discuss Chuck's groundbreaking article, "Zionism promoted through Bible studies at a church near you." While the theology of Christian Zionism in these studies is usually subtle, the extreme Zionist sentiment as exhibited in two included video clips featuring Kay Arthur should be intuitively obvious to any honest observer. In this program, Craig Hanson scripturally challenges some of the sacred theology held dear by Christian Zionists.
The United States has a war based economy that needs enemies to demonize and go to war with. In this 16-minute video, Chuck Carlson, Craig Hanson and Tom Compton of We Hold These Truths discuss Chuck's article, "Latest Middle East War Scheme Revealed," about the US move to start a war on Iran. Sadly, millions of Christian Zionists support the wars in the Middle East to protect Israel (see our video: "John Hagee with Benny Hinn: Praying for War in the Name of Jesus").
Israel has perfected Hasbara, "a form of propaganda aimed at an international audience...It is meant to influence the conversation in a way that positively portrays Israeli political moves and policies, including actions undertaken by Israel in the past. Often, Hasbara efforts include a negative portrayal of the Arabs and especially of Palestinians" (+972 Magazine). Chris Hedges on the RT program, "On Contact" talks to journalist and filmmaker Abby Martin and producer Mike Prysner about their new film Gaza Fights for Freedom which focuses on the Palestinian Great March of Return protests during which nearly 200 people were killed and 10,000 men, women and children were wounded ("approximately 1,200 patients will require long-term limb reconstruction"). Revealed in the documentary is the use of frangible or"exploding" bullets by the Israeli Defense Force that magnifies the damage done by a bullet wound. Reference WHTT posts: "Israel Shooting to Cripple and Maim," and "Israel Continues with its Shoot to Cripple & Maim Policy in Gaza."
The vast majority of Christians visiting the Holy Land of Israel, only visit the "Dead Stones" sites like the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem built over the site where it is believed to be the site where Jesus was born. The "Living Stones," the Palestinian Christians, who live there are only heard by a fraction of the tourists to Israel. Dr. Darryl DelHousaye, Chancellor of Phoenix Seminary asked Tom Compton of We Hold These Truths to provide a video with messages from "Living Stones of the Holy Land" that will serve as a supplement for members of the tour that he is leading to Israel. Included in this video are two inspirational presentations by Rev. Alex Awad, who was the pastor of the East Jerusalem Baptist Church and Dean and professor at Bethlehem Bible College and Sami Awad of the Holy Land Trust.
Chuck Carlson of We Hold These Truths is interviewed by Tom Lacovara on RTR Truth Media program for the first time. Tom covers a lot of ground with Chuck that includes details about Chuck's friendship with the late Eustace Mullins and We Hold These Truths' mission to challenge the false doctrine of Christian Zionism. One commenter on the program concluded this: "Christian Zionism: The spiritual branch of the military-industrial complex." More programs by Tom Lacovara can be seen on his YouTube channel, "RTR Truth Media: Lighting Brushfires of Freedom."
According to David Friedman, U.S. Ambassador to Israel, the state of Israel is on the side of God, as reported in the New York Times article, "U.S. Ambassador Says Israel Is ‘on the Side of God’." In this report by Tom Compton of We Hold These Truths at an al-Quds (Jerusalem) rally to support Palestine, held in Tempe Arizona, Ambassador Friedman's notion is challenged with a provocative question. Craig Hanson of WHTT biblically answers the more important question “Which Side of God Is Israel On?”
In this remarkable, 61 minute video, Pastor Chuck Baldwin is interviewed by Steven Ben-Nun of Israeli News Live about his journey out of a deep seated and three decades long belief that the modern state of Israel is the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. What's remarkable about this interview is that Steven Ben-Nun is a Messianic (Jewish) Christian who had been under the influence of Zionism, himself. The large majority of Messianic Christians are fervent Christian Zionists. We Hold These Truths has, also, interviewed Pastor Baldwin in our podcast, "Pastor Dr. Chuck Baldwin Rejects Christian Zionism."
We say, “Open, Bethlehem!” Sure, tourists can still enter Bethlehem from Jerusalem by transiting the wall and checkpoint that separates Israel from occupied Palestine. Most of the Christians visiting the Holy Land have been conditioned to fear and mistrust Palestinians, even Palestinian Christians. Typically, a tour bus drops the pilgrims off at one of the “dead stones” sites in the Holy Land, like the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. Rarely, do these pilgrims get to interact with the local, Palestinian Christians, the “living stones,” to hear the other side of the story. Palestinian, Leila Sansour, documents how her home town, Bethlehem, is being walled in. In this 33 minute, abridged version of her compelling documentary, “Open, Bethlehem” you will learn what is happening to the birthplace of Jesus. Be sure to share this with your friends because Leila’s story will not make the 6 o’clock news!
"One Day In Gaza" is a BBC documentary that has been shown in the UK, but was cancelled by PBS in the US. It was scheduled to air on May 14, 2019, the anniversary of the "Gaza March of Return" massacre, that occurred one year earlier. Sixty Palestinians in Gaza were killed and On May 14,, 2018, the same day as the dedication of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem. This documentary shows both sides of what took place but there is too much damning documentation about Israel's action's that Israeli partisans don't want Americans to know about. The contention of the WHTT podcast, "Does Israel Have a Shoot to Cripple & Maim Policy Against Palestinians?" by Chuck Carlsono, is confirmed by "One Day In Gaza." An excellent analysis of the documentary is done by Alison Weir of If Americans Knew, "View the Frontline Documentary on Gaza that PBS pulled."
Filmmaker, Karriem Shabazz, lived and worked, for 15 years, in Syria and traveled throughout the region. To do his part for peace, Karriem wanted to relate the history of the Israel-Palestine conflict. Using remarkable archival video footage that he obtained from research in the region, Karriem created a compelling documentary about the little known history of what happened in the Holy Land during the past 100 years. The people of Palestine do not deserve to be forgotten or neglected. Deliberately misinformed and deceived, Americans are responsible for, and are the only people who can stop the injustice, apartheid and genocide that is being committed in this Holy Land, against the innocent people of the ancient Biblical land of Samson and Delilah, and David and Goliath. "The Struggle to Save Al-Aqsa and the Holy Lands" begins with the father of Zionism, Theodore Hertzel and ends with the last Intifada when Prime Minister Ariel Sharon provoked this bloodbath of innocent children in 2001. This film documents the impact of the spy T.E. Lawrence, Lord James Arthur Balfour, the British Evangelical Zionists, the League of Nations and the United Nations. Also, this film chronicles the massacres perpetrated by the “Israeli” occupation force, to steal more land and eliminate more of the people of Palestine. These massacres have defined the longest occupation in history from 1948 in Kafr Qasim through the 1950s, 60s and 70s to the massacre of women and children at the UN outpost in Qana, Lebanon 48 years later and is still ongoing.
With a straight face, the power brokers of the US government say they want to bring democracy to Venezuela. Never mind that Venezuela is already a democracy, and its socialist leaders have been reelected repeatedly. If you believe the MSM (Main Stream Media) and US government narrative about Venezuela, then this video interview with Daniel McAdams of the Ron Paul Institute on the Corbett Report, is not for you. If you'd like to hear a well reasoned analysis, you've picked an excellent analysis of what's going on in Venezuela. The situation in Venezuela is volatile and subject to change, but the history of regime changes by the US, elaborated by Daniel McAdams in this interview, are remarkably similar. Whatever the fate of Venezuela, this interview will provide a good foundation for understanding future US regime change operations. You, too, will be able to spot them from 1000 miles away.
The New York Times has done something remarkable by producing a 17 minute video, investigation report about the killing of Palestinian medic Rouzan al-Najjar during a protest in Gaza on June 1, 2018 as reported in their article, "A Day, a Life: When a Medic Was Killed in Gaza, Was It an Accident?" Rouzan was not protesting, but rushing to aid a wounded demonstrator. According to Mark Regev, Israeli ambassador to Britain, "... and we [Israel] only use live fire in a measured and surgical way." David Keyes, an Israeli government spokesman assured us that, "Israel only targeted people who are actively engaged in violence." And Michael Oren, an American born Israeli and a former Israeli ambassador to the US, claimed, "We [Israel] have a very specific record of every shot fired." Also, be sure to watch the 11 minute video by The Real News, "When The New York Times Investigates Israel’s Killings in Gaza, That’s News" for an excellent analysis of NYT's article and investigation. Also, please read Chuck Carlson's article, "Israel Shooting To Cripple and Maim."
It should be intuitively obvious to the casual observer that the US main stream media (MSM) is exceptionally partial to Israel in their reporting. When the New York Times ran a front page story,"A Day, a Life: When a Medic Was Killed in Gaza, Was It an Accident?" readers should ask, "Why?" In this insightful, 11 minute report on The Real News, the significance of the NYT article is delved into with Mondoweiss journalist, James North, who wrote the piece, "‘NYT’ report on killing of Gaza paramedic Rouzan al-Najjar is a big step forward, though flawed."
The War in Syria is NOT a “civil war”; is NOT a “popular uprising,” but is a US and allies’ long-time, planned and orchestrated regime change war, using terrorists and mercenary, proxy, armed groups. This is what American housewife, Janice Kortkamp concluded after four years of intensive study on the issue, and after several fact finding trips to Syria. Janice recounts her incredible journey to understand what's going on in Syria in this 1 hr. 25 min. video presentation she made to the Syrian American Forum in Boston. Also, she was interviewed by We Hold These Truths, "American Christian Housewife Travels Alone Across War Targeted Syria." Be sure to visit Janice's website, packed with information about the war on Syria and what she is doing to spread the truth about the situation there: "Syria Resources Archive."
Speaking up for the rights of Palestinians could cost your job. Professor Marc Lamont Hill was a political commentator on CNN, who was fired by CNN after he made a presentation at the United Nations on the plight of Palestine that exceeded the MSM's (main stream media) allowable limits of discourse on the Israel/Palestine issue (to watch his courageous, UN presentation, click here). Prof. Hill explains what happened in this excellent, 14 min interview on Democracy Now in their 12/18/2018 broadcast.
In this revealing, 3 minute interview with Bahia Amawi by the Intercept, she explains why the state of Texas would not renew her contract as a speech therapist in the Austin, Texas school district because she would not sign the "Israeli Loyalty Oath" clause of a 2017 billed passed in Texas. Twenty five other states have passed similar legislation. The Intercept "asked if she considered signing the pledge to preserve her ability to work. Bahia Amawi told The Intercept: “Absolutely not. I couldn’t in good conscience do that. If I did, I would not only be betraying Palestinians suffering under an occupation that I believe is unjust and thus, become complicit in their repression, but I’d also be betraying my fellow Americans by enabling violations of our constitutional rights to free speech and to protest peacefully.” For more details on this, please read the Intercept story "A Texas Elementary School Speech Pathologist Refused to Sign a Pro-Israel Oath, Now Mandatory in Many States — so She Lost Her Job." Also, watch the report by Rick Sanchez of RT News, "Will Americans Have to Take a Loyalty Oath to Israel Instead of U.S.?"
Rick Sanchez of RT America reports on a phenomena sweeping the nation that makes a mockery of the First Amendment to the US Constitution, that protects the right to free speech. Laws have been enacted by 26 states in America deeming that any person doing work for that state must take a loyalty oath that they currently are not boycotting Israel, or will not in the future. This 4 minute report needs to be watched by anyone valuing the right to freedom of speech. More details about Bahia Amawi, who would not sign the Texas loyalty oath to Israel can be found in the Intercept article, "A Texas Elementary School Speech Pathologist Refused to Sign a Pro-Israel Oath, Now Mandatory in Many States — so She Lost Her Job." Also, there is a bill being proposed in Congress that would make the "Israel Loyalty Oath" the law of the land (see: "Senators Working to Slip Israel Anti-Boycott Law Through in Lame Duck").

Political commentator for CNN, Marc Lamont Hill, has been fired by CNN for speaking about freedom and justice for Palestinians, in an address given at the United Nations, not on CNN. Numerous, influential Zionists cried foul to CNN and claimed that Mr Hill's remarks were anti-Semitic. Judge for yourself by watching Mr. Hill's impassioned, 21 minute address, where he gives an excellent overview of the situation in occupied Palestine and describes the racial discrimination policies by Israel against Arab citizens of Israel. Gideon Levy of the Israeli newspaper, Haaretz accurately describes the context of the firing very well in his editorial, "In U.S. Media, Israel is Untouchable."
Retired, constitutional Congressman Ron Paul is asking a question about the Trump administration’s ‘neoconservative’ policy regarding how to handle the situation with Iran: Is it normal? In this powerful, 4 minute video, Ron Paul notes: "It’s not often that US Government officials are honest when they talk about our foreign policy. The unprovoked 2003 attack on Iraq was called a “liberation.” The 2011 US-led destruction of Libya was a “humanitarian intervention.” And so on. So, in a way, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was refreshingly honest last week when, speaking about newly-imposed US sanctions, he told the BBC that the Iranian leadership “has to make a decision that they want their people to eat.” It was an honest admission that new US sanctions are designed to starve Iranians unless the Iranian leadership accepts US demands. His statement also reveals the lengths to which the neocons are willing to go to get their “regime change” in Iran. Just like then-Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said it was “worth it” that half a million Iraqi children died because of our sanctions [in the 1990's] on that country, Pompeo is letting us know that a few million dead Iranians is also “worth it” if the government in Tehran can be overthrown.
There are a growing number of Jews around the world who have gone from ardent Zionists to critics of Israel and its occupation of Palestine. In this remarkable and courageous documentary, "Jews Step Forward," 23 Jews tell their stories of transformation. Be sure to watch the entire 112 minute documentary to fully understand the difficult process these people went through to come to the conclusions they made to resist Israel's national march to national suicide. World famous Israeli conductor, Daniel Barenboim, defined the situation in Israel, perfectly, in his acceptance speech to the Israel Knesset for the Wolf Prize, one of Israel's highest honors for "achievements in the interest of mankind and friendly relations among people ... irrespective of nationality, race, colour, religion, sex or political views." Mr. Barenboim remarked: "I am asking today with deep sorrow: Can we, despite all our achievements, ignore the intolerable gap between what the Declaration of Independence promised and what was fulfilled, the gap between the idea and the realities of Israel? Does the condition of occupation and domination over another people fit the Declaration of Independence? Is there any sense in the independence of one at the expense of the fundamental rights of the other? Can the Jewish people whose history is a record of continued suffering and relentless persecution, allow themselves to be indifferent to the rights and suffering of a neighboring people? Can the State of Israel allow itself an unrealistic dream of an ideological end to the conflict instead of pursuing a pragmatic, humanitarian one based on social justice?"
Israel is very proud of its legal system that so cleverly denies building permits to Palestinians, but legitimizes illegal (under international law) Israeli settlements in the West Bank of Palestine. A case in point is the Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar that is slated for demolition. Professor Frank Romano found out the consequences of non-violent protesting against the destruction of this village. Professor Romano explains beautifully in this 2 1/2 minute video. For background info on Khan al-Ahnar, take a look at these articles from the Israeli newspaper, Harretz: "Everything You Need to Know About the West Bank Bedouin Village at the Eye of a Diplomatic Storm," "In Unusual Move, Israeli Army Arrests French-American Law Professor in West Bank" and "Why Did Israel Handcuff and Deport a French-American Law Professor?"
Under a blockade and siege since 2007, children in Gaza don't have many fun things to do. One very popular activity is kite flying. In 2011, over 13,000 kites were flown in Gaza to break a Guinness World Record. This one minute report by ABC, tells the poignant story. During the recent "The Great March of Return" protests in Gaza, starting in March, about 150 people have been killed and over 2000 people have been wounded by Israeli snipers. To fight back, some Palestinian protesters in Gaza decided to try out "armed" kites and helium-filled balloons as weapons that have ignited some Israeli farmlands (see here & here). After all, Gaza is the world's largest open air prison and some of the inmates aren't too happy about the ongoing Israeli economic blockade that is slowly strangling Gaza to where it will be unlivable by 2020 (see here).
We Hold These Truths' California, Central Valley, Outreach Director, Dave Jacobs, spotted media at the Fresno, CA airport, while he was driving by. He found out that President Donald Trumps' daughter, Ivanka was arriving in Fresno for a Republican fundraising luncheon. Dave retreived his signs and went back to the airport to greet Ivanka and her entourage. Chants of "No More Wars For Israel" can be heard on the video report showing Ivanka leaving the airport. With some super sleuthing, Dave was able to find out where Ivanka was heading for lunch. Then, Dave and his crew showed up at the offices of Harris Construction with some other protestors. This got reported in local TV news reports (1 min. 18 seconds).
The US has a war based economy requiring enemies and serial wars to sustain its "empire." That fact should be intuitively obvious to the casual observer, but it isn't widely believed in the US. Former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura reveals truths about the perilous plight of the America, that is an "Empire in crisis." The US federal debt is skyrocketing with ever increasing amounts budgeted to maintain our military and the security state. Jesse Ventura and Brigida Santos discuss, on RT, the fate of the global order and why some experts predict American hegemony will end by 2030. Take time to watch this 26 minute program and educate others to the dangers we face in the US.
After President Donald Trump annouced that the US would move its embassy in Israel to the "eternal capital of the Jewish people, Jerusalem," Orthodox Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro analyzed Trump's claim: "The Jewish Nation don’t have a capital, a capital is a political concept. We are not a country, we are a people, a nation established on Torah Judaism. Yes, Jerusalem is a Holy place but that doesn’t make it our capital. It is a Zionist concept that Jews are not a religion, but a nationality/race...Zionists say that the Jews became a people when they entered Israel. Not true - it happened at Mount Sinai, before we even entered the Land of Israel. Step 1 for Zionism was to nationalize the Jewish people. Step 2 for Zionism was that they say Israel is their country...The modern state of "Israel" was founded by people who wanted to create a country in the middle east. Somehow they say that this country is the country of Jews worldwide. How? They claim to represent every Jew, a completely unfounded claim. The Jewish people had nothing to do with the creation of this state. The Zionists did. The majority of religious Jews at the time did not want Israel to represent them at the state’s founding. Ben Guirion, Israel's first Prime Minister agreed with his generation's leading Rabbis to never claim that "Israel" represents worldwide Jewry as it would be dangerous to Jews worldwide. It casts them as dually loyal. They can never be fully loyal to their home country if they are also loyal to "Israel". He later went back on his agreement." Rabbi Shapiro's sound logic is presented in this compelling, 7 minute video. Reference: "Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as capital of ‘Jewish people’ is assault on my religion — Queens rabbi."
CBS News aired on May 14, 2018 a most amazing and insightful, 9 minute interview with Noura Erakat, a Palestinian American, human rights attorney, activist and an Assistant Professor at George Mason University. Professor Erakat explains the Palestinian side in the context of the ongoing demonstrations by Gazans and killings by Israel of Palestinians in Gaza, and, the dedication of the US embassy in Jerusalem. After reflecting on the interview, Noura made this comment on her FB page: "I want to clarify my comments on the CBS interview regarding Hamas. In the beginning I said, "...Palestinians don't want Hamas either..." It was a mistake on my part to make it seem like critique of Hamas is absolutist. I meant to say, and should have said, "not all Palestinians support Hamas..." in order to demonstrate the point that that is a straw man argument and a distraction from what is happening on the ground. I own that and it is a reflection that I am still learning to respond well and effectively under pressure. May we all continue to grow and work together for freedom." Also, check out Noura's follow up piece to the video interview that appeared in the Washington Post: "Palestinians have no choice but to continue the struggle."
After her cousin was shot in the head by an Israele soldier, Palestinian Ahed Tamimi made the "slap heard around the world" upon a heavily armed IDF soldier. She was arrested in a night raid, as is the usual IDF modus operandi. This 2 minuted video, "The Interegation of Ahed Tamimi, 26 December, 2017 at Shaar Binyaminpolice station" needs to be seen and passed on to educate others about the brutal Israeli practices used against Palestinian youth. Two other documentaries highlight the ongoing brutality of the Israeli occupation: "Israel's Inhumane Treatment of Palestinian Children" and "Major Media Espose of Israeli Attacks on Palestinian Children." Also, a 5 minute report by CNN on3/18/2018 gives some background to Ahed's story: "Palestinian teen jailed for slapping soldier."
On occasion, a loan voice in the main stream media, exposes the hypocrisy of the MSM and its collusion with the American government. Selling wars through the MSM, is a mainstay tactic the US government employs. This is very evident in this report by Tucker Carlson of Fox News, who dared to ask some questions about the sudden rush to punish President Bashar al-Asad and Syria for an alledged chemical attack in Douma. In this 5 1/2 minute segment, Tucker Carlson exposes the attempts to silence his questioning of the attack on Syria. It's interesting how the left joins with the right to clamor for war. For background, watch a previous news segment by Carlson (Click here). Will a desenting voice like Carlson's be allowed to continue on Fox News? See also, "'Chemical Attack' Evidence in Syria Debunked."
Hassan Diab, a young boy from Douma, Syria didn't know he was being recruited for a "chemical attack" video that was made by some local rebels, and, that went viral. The US, UK and France used this type of evidence to justify a military strike on Syria. Evgeny Poddubny, a war correspondent from Russian broadcaster VGTRK, found the boy in the video. Hassan's "story differed from the one presented by the activists and later propagated by the mainstream media. He was in the basement with his mother, who said they ran out of food, when they heard some noise outside. 'Somebody was shouting that we had to go to the hospital, so we went there. When I came in, some people grabbed me and started pouring water over my head,' he told Evgeny Poddubny...Hassan confirmed that he was the boy in the video, and was very scared when the whole situation unfolded. He is now fine and shows no symptoms of having experienced a chemical attack two weeks ago."
