Rabbi Reacts To Trump's Jerusalem Eternal Capital of Jewish People

After President Donald Trump annouced that the US would move its embassy in Israel to the "eternal capital of the Jewish people, Jerusalem," Orthodox Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro analyzed Trump's claim: "The Jewish Nation don’t have a capital, a capital is a political concept. We are not a country, we are a people, a nation established on Torah Judaism. Yes, Jerusalem is a Holy place but that doesn’t make it our capital. It is a Zionist concept that Jews are not a religion, but a nationality/race...Zionists say that the Jews became a people when they entered Israel. Not true - it happened at Mount Sinai, before we even entered the Land of Israel. Step 1 for Zionism was to nationalize the Jewish people. Step 2 for Zionism was that they say Israel is their country...The modern state of "Israel" was founded by people who wanted to create a country in the middle east. Somehow they say that this country is the country of Jews worldwide. How? They claim to represent every Jew, a completely unfounded claim. The Jewish people had nothing to do with the creation of this state. The Zionists did. The majority of religious Jews at the time did not want Israel to represent them at the state’s founding. Ben Guirion, Israel's first Prime Minister agreed with his generation's leading Rabbis to never claim that "Israel" represents worldwide Jewry as it would be dangerous to Jews worldwide. It casts them as dually loyal. They can never be fully loyal to their home country if they are also loyal to "Israel". He later went back on his agreement." Occasionally Truth About Palestine Gets Reported on MSM

CBS News aired on May 14, 2018 a most amazing and insightful, 9 minute interview with Noura Erakat, a Palestinian American, human rights attorney, activist and an Assistant Professor at George Mason University. Professor Erakat explains the Palestinian side in the context of the ongoing demonstrations by Gazans and killings by Israel of Palestinians in Gaza, and, the dedication of the US embassy in Jerusalem. After reflecting on the interview, Noura made this comment on her FB page: "I want to clarify my comments on the CBS interview regarding Hamas. In the beginning I said, "...Palestinians don't want Hamas either..." It was a mistake on my part to make it seem like critique of Hamas is absolutist. I meant to say, and should have said, "not all Palestinians support Hamas..." in order to demonstrate the point that that is a straw man argument and a distraction from what is happening on the ground. I own that and it is a reflection that I am still learning to respond well and effectively under pressure. May we all continue to grow and work together for freedom." Palestininan Teenager Ahed Tamimi Stands Up to Israel's Military Kangaroo Court

After her cousin was shot in the head by an Israele soldier, Palestinian Ahed Tamimi made the "slap heard around the world" upon a heavily armed IDF soldier. She was arrested in a night raid, as is the usual IDF modus operandi. This 2 minuted video, "The Interegation of Ahed Tamimi, 26 December, 2017 at Shaar Binyaminpolice station" needs to be seen and passed on to educate others about the brutal Israeli practices used against Palestinian youth. Two other documentaries highlight the ongoing brutality of the Israeli occupation: "Israel's Inhumane Treatment of Palestinian Children" and "Major Media Espose of Israeli Attacks on Palestinian Children." On occasion, a loan voice in the main stream media, exposes the hypocrisy of the MSM and its collusion with the American government. Selling wars through the MSM, is a mainstay tactic the US government employs. This is very evident in this report by Tucker Carlson of Fox News, who dared to ask some questions about the sudden rush to punish President Bashar al-Asad and Syria for an alledged chemical attack in Douma. In this 5 1/2 minute segment, Tucker Carlson exposes the attempts to silence his questioning of the attack on Syria. It's interesting how the left joins with the right to clamor for war. "Chemical Attack" Evidence in Syria Debunked

Hassan Diab, a young boy from Douma, Syria didn't know he was being recruited for a "chemical attack" video that was made by some local rebels, and, that went viral. The US, UK and France used this type of evidence to justify a military strike on Syria. Evgeny Poddubny, a war correspondent from Russian broadcaster VGTRK, found the boy in the video. Hassan's "story differed from the one presented by the activists and later propagated by the mainstream media. He was in the basement with his mother, who said they ran out of food, when they heard some noise outside.  'Somebody was shouting that we had to go to the hospital, so we went there. When I came in, some people grabbed me and started pouring water over my head,' he told Evgeny Poddubny...Hassan confirmed that he was the boy in the video, and was very scared when the whole situation unfolded. He is now fine and shows no symptoms of having experienced a chemical attack two weeks ago." This 2 minute video should lead any honest observer to question the US government's policy of shooingt first and asking questions later. Creative Palestinian Non-Violent Resistance of the Scientific Kind

Palestinians have developed a number of creative, non-violent ways to challenge the brutal Israeli military occupation of Palestine. One of the more widely known forms of non-violent resistance is the BDS (Boycotts, Divestment & Sanctions) movement that was started in 2005 by about 150 Palestinian civil groups and joined by activists all around the world. When we spent a month in Palestine, based in Bethlehem, this past summer with the Holy Land Trust, one very innovative form of non-violent resistance came to our attention. We met Dr. Mazin & Jessie Qumsiyeh, who founded the Palestine Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainability and the Palestine Museum of Natural History that is associated with Bethlehem University. This 14 minute video is a talk by Dr. Qumsiyeh, given at the meeting of the Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN) on Dec. 4, 2017. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo. Professor Qumsiyeh’s paper dealt with challenges and opportunities for sustainable development in the 21st century with globalized systems. He highlighted the example of the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability at Bethlehem University in areas of research, education, and environmental conservation. As the only Palestinian speaker at this conference, Prof. Qumsiyeh took the opportunity to also highlight the issues of Israeli colonial policies that effect sustainability in Palestine.

The Palestinians and the international community have considered East Jerusalem to be the capital of Palestine. What's going on with the rise of interest in, and the increase in value of, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? Qavi, who was from London, had chosen the El Beit Guest House as his retirement home and had been living there for over 6 years. Palestinian Memories-The Story of a Palestinian Mother and Her People

In this video presentation, our Palestinian friend, Rev. Alex Awad, tells the remarkable and inspiring story of his mother, Huda Awad, who was left as a widow with seven children in 1948, during the Zionist takeover of Palestine. Alex gives a unique look at the Israeli/Palestine conflict as a Palestinian Christian. This presentation is based on his fascinating book, "Palestinian Memories: The Story of a Palestinian Mother and Her People." Alex's older brother, Bishara, founded the evangelical Christian college, Bethlehem Bible College in 1979. Millions of American Christians are unaware of the plight of the city of Bethlehem and its Palestinian inhabitants in the West Bank of Palestine. The Israeli built separation wall snakes its way around Bethlehem, even cutting off Palestinians from their own land and nearby Jerusalem. This story is courageously told by Palestinian filmmaker, Leila Sansour in her Open, Bethlehem documentary that is part of a campaign to educate her fellow Christians and the world about the stranglehold by Israel that is slowly causing Palestinian Christians to leave the Holy Land because of the hardships imposed by the military occupation. To increase the awareness of what is happening to Bethlehem, a Bethlehem Passport is being issued by the OPEN BETHLEHEM campaign in partnership with the Governorate of Bethlehem.  So far, the passport has been granted to more than 500 people around the world, including church leaders and heads of states, such as Archbishop Rowan Williams, Pope Benedict XVI, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and President Jimmy Carter. Father Elias Chacour: Man of Galilee Working for Peace and Reconciliation In Israel

This inspiring and remarkable 22 min. documentary is about Father Elias Chacour, a man of peace and reconciliation, and, the schools he started in Ibillin, Israel, in the Galilee region. What Does Israel Mean To You?

Christians in the United States are divided on what the word "Israel" means. Reporter Mehdi Hasan challenges Israel's narrative that they no longer occupy the Gaza strip. Mehdi argues that Israel still controls Gaza's borders, airspace and territorial waters. He also points to the fact Israel controls the population register, meaning the government defines who is and who is not a resident of Gaza. Israel says it no longer occupies Gaza after disengaging from the strip of land in 2005. But Palestinians, international organizations, human rights groups and governments, including the United States, argue Gaza is still occupied. Be sure you spread this video far and wide.

We took the occasion of Bernando LaPallo's 114th birthday celebration to plant some seeds about the Israel/Palestine issue.  Our gift to Bernando was the inspiring documentary, "Al Helm:  Martin Luther King in Palestine."  In this 7 1/2 minute video about our presentation to Bernando, we included at the end, the 2 1/2 minute "Al Helm..." trailer (a crash course on the conflict).  "Al Helm: Martin Luther King in Palestine" is about a black American, Christian choir that accompanies a Palestinian theater troupe in a play about Dr. Martin Luther King in which Dr. King is played by a Palestinian.  The play was performed in several cities in the West Bank of Palestine.  None of the choir members had been to Israel before.  Their firsthand experiences in Palestine opened their eyes to the brutal nature of the Israeli occupation that Palestinians live under.

John Hagee of CUFI Weighs In On Ebola Judgment Against US by God

Just when you thought it was safe to get into the water, John Hagee of Christians United For Israel has declared, on the Hagee Hotline program, that President Obama is not sufficiently kind to Israel.  It seems the President wants to keep the "true " capital of Israel, Jerusalem, divided between Palestinians and Jews rather then uniting it under Israel.  Hagee contends that this will result in a judgment by God against the United States in the form of the Ebola outbreak.  This is one and half minute segment extracted from the Hagee Hotline program, hosted by Mathew Hagee (son of John Hagee), left us amazed. The US Needs Credible Enemies Like ISIL For Oiling Its War Machinery
