The Birthplace of Jesus Is Being Walled Off

Typically, a tour bus drops the pilgrims off at one of the "dead stones" sites in the Holy Land, like the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. Rarely, do these pilgrims get to interact with the local, Palestinian Christians, the "living stones," to hear the other side of the story. Why Synagogue Leaders in Nazareth Tried and Failed to Kill Jesus

Jesus remarked, while teaching at the synagogue in his hometown, Nazareth: “Truly I say to you, no prophet is welcome in his hometown." Pastor Joseph Beach from Amazing Grace Church in Denver, CO, explains how and why the hometown crowd quickly turned from admiring Him as the Messiah, to wanting to kill Him. US Zionists Get Black Political Commentator Fired by CNN

Political commentator for CNN, Marc Lamont Hill, has been fired by CNN for speaking about freedom and justice for Palestinians, in an address given at the United Nations, not on CNN. Numerous, influential Zionists cried foul to CNN and claimed that Mr Hill's remarks were anti-Semitic. Judge for yourself by watching Mr. Hill's impassioned, 21 minute address, where he gives an excellent overview of the situation in occupied Palestine and describes the racial discrimination policies by Israel against Arab citizens of Israel. Gideon Levy of the Israeli newspaper, Haaretz accurately describes the context of the firing very well in his editorial, "In U.S. Media, Israel is Untouchable."

Religious Bigotry Revealed at Israel Honoring Church Event

It's very rare for We Hold These Truths to get media attention at one of their vigils in front of "zionized" churches. Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada, CO held their 40th "Night to Honor Israel" recently, but WHTT was not conducting a vigil as we have done at least three times in the past. Thanks to a local reporter who did his homework, WHTT founder Chuck Carlson was quoted in the article, "Honoring Israel: When a local church takes on an international issue." Ron Paul Lashes Out at Trump Admin Over Iran Starvation Policy

Retired, constitutional Congressman Ron Paul is asking a question about the Trump administration’s ‘neoconservative’ policy regarding how to handle the situation with Iran: Is it normal? In this powerful, 4 minute video, Ron Paul notes: "It’s not often that US Government officials are honest when they talk about our foreign policy. The unprovoked 2003 attack on Iraq was called a “liberation.” The 2011 US-led destruction of Libya was a “humanitarian intervention.” And so on. So, in a way, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was refreshingly honest last week when, speaking about newly-imposed US sanctions, he told the BBC that the Iranian leadership “has to make a decision that they want their people to eat.” It was an honest admission that new US sanctions are designed to starve Iranians unless the Iranian leadership accepts US demands. His statement also reveals the lengths to which the neocons are willing to go to get their “regime change” in Iran. Just like then-Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said it was “worth it” that half a million Iraqi children died because of our sanctions [in the 1990's] on that country, Pompeo is letting us know that a few million dead Iranians is also “worth it” if the government in Tehran can be overthrown.

Unwinding the Middle East Puzzle

The vast majority of Americans are oblivious to the fact that the US has a war based economy that needs enemies and wars to stay afloat. Most of these Americans are stuck in a left vs. right, Democrat vs. Republican paradigm. Americans are dragged into wars by both Democrats and Republicans. Challenging American Christians at Christ At The Checkpoint-USA

Sadly, American, evangelical Christians mostly get one side of the Israeli/Palestine conflict narrative. And, that is the "zionised" Christian version that claims that modern Israel is the fulfillment of biblical prophecy, and, that only modern Jews have a right to live in Israel. Christ At The Checkpoint-USA held their first conference in the US in Oklahoma City to tell the Palestinian Christian side of the story. Palestinian Christians are the "living stones," of the Holy Land, and, for the most part, are ignored by American Christian pilgrims visiting the "dead stone" sites in the Holy Land. We Hold These Truths had a booth at the conference and came away very encouraged by the gathering. The Strong Delusions of Christian Zionists

The evidence of the strong delusions held by Christian Zionists is explored by Chuck Carlson of We Hold These Truths in an interview on Dr. Kevin Barrett's "Truth Jihad" radio program. Chuck delves into the history of C.I. Scofield, "Godfather of Christian Zionism," and Scofield's connection to powerful zionists like Samuel Untemyer that helped with the publishing of his Scofield Reference Bible by the Oxford Press, who had never published a book by an American author until that time. This is a very interesting, 51 minute program.

There are a growing number of Jews around the world who have gone from ardent Zionists to critics of Israel and its occupation of Palestine. World famous Israeli conductor, Daniel Barenboim, defined the situation in Israel, perfectly, in his acceptance speech to the Israel Knesset for the Wolf Prize, one of Israel's highest honors for "achievements in the interest of mankind and friendly relations among people ... irrespective of nationality, race, colour, religion, sex or political views." Mr. Barenboim remarked: "I am asking today with deep sorrow: Can we, despite all our achievements, ignore the intolerable gap between what the Declaration of Independence promised and what was fulfilled, the gap between the idea and the realities of Israel? Does the condition of occupation and domination over another people fit the Declaration of Independence? Is there any sense in the independence of one at the expense of the fundamental rights of the other? Can the Jewish people whose history is a record of continued suffering and relentless persecution, allow themselves to be indifferent to the rights and suffering of a neighboring people? Can the State of Israel allow itself an unrealistic dream of an ideological end to the conflict instead of pursuing a pragmatic, humanitarian one based on social justice?"  

Israel's Perverse Profusion of Prevarications-The Need To Lie

Israel is very proud of its legal system that so cleverly denies building permits to Palestinians, but legitimizes illegal (under international law) Israeli settlements in the West Bank of Palestine. A case in point is the Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar that is slated for demolition. Professor Frank Romano found out the consequences of non-violent protesting against the destruction of this village. Professor Romano explains beautifully in this 2 1/2 minute video. The Southern Baptist Convention's leadership loves to defend Israel, using mostly political arguments or corrupted biblical theology. Two recent actions by members of We Hold These Truths in Fresno, CA and Scottsdale, AZ highlight the continuing need to challenge Neo-Christian churches on issues like peace in the Middle East. Our team in Fresno challenged the California Southern Baptist Convention at their state headquarters in Fresno with some interesting results, both encouraging and and troubling. In Scottsdale, the ongoing need to challenge our church leaders is revealed in this 34 minute podcast by Chuck Carlson and members of WHTT. Palestinian Christians in Gaza are Between 2 Fires

Pastor Dr. Hanna Massad is a Palestinian Christian with a fascinating story. He was born in a Gaza refugee camp because his parents and grandparents, and over 750,000 Palestinians, were forced off their land in Palestine, by the Zionists in 1948, when Israel was founded. In this remarkable and inspiring, 44 minute podcast, Pastor Hanna is interviewed by Chuck Carlson and members of We Hold These Truths. We learn about the challenges Palestinian Christians face in Gaza and the West Bank of Palestine. They are caught between two fires: the brutal Israeli occupation and radicalized Muslims. Growing up in Gaza, Christians like Hanna Massad and his family lived peaceably with their Muslim neighbors. We learn from Pastor Hanna the impact of Christian Zionism and the Israel-first policies of the US government on Palestinian Christians and Muslims. Flying High in Gaza

Under a blockade and siege since 2007, children in Gaza don't have many fun things to do. One very popular activity is kite flying. In 2011, over 13,000 kites were flown in Gaza to break a Guinness World Record. This one minute report by ABC, tells the poignant story. During the recent "The Great March of Return" protests in Gaza, starting in March, about 150 people have been killed and over 2000 people have been wounded by Israeli snipers. To fight back, some Palestinian protesters in Gaza decided to try out "armed" kites and helium-filled balloons as weapons that have ignited some Israeli farmlands (see here & here). After all, Gaza is the world's largest open air prison and some of the inmates aren't too happy about the ongoing Israeli economic blockade that is slowly strangling Gaza to where it will be unlivable by 2020 (see here).

Why American evangelicals are a huge base of support for Israel

"Evangelical Christians make up the biggest pro-Israel bloc in the US. Support for Israel is stronger among American evangelicals than it is even among American Jews. According to a poll conducted by the Pew Research Center, 82 percent of white evangelicals think God gave Israel to the Jewish people. Less than half as many Jewish Americans or Catholic Americans agree." A Public Banking Revolution Is Headed to Los Angeles

Challenging the international bankers and the corrupt mega-banks is no small task. Phoenix Goodman, co-founder of the PublicBankLA movement, discusses with Chuck Carlson and members of We Hold These Truths, his group's intriguing efforts to get the City of Los Angeles to start a public bank. Los Angeles manages more than five billion dollars in annual revenue collected from tax, fee and fine payers. The city paid over $109 million in transactional and origination fees to commercial banks in 2016. In an era of consolidation, where banks have grown too-big-to-fail, any discerning city will soon run out of options of where to put its money. The PublicBankLA campaign has convinced the Los Angels City Council to put an iniative for starting a city, public bank on the ballot for voter approval. Christians Challenging Christians In Fresno

Since 2002, We Hold These Truths has conducted over 200 vigils at "zionized" churches around the US. A group in Fresno has taken the WHTT message to Clovis Hills Community Church (CHCC) near Fresno, CA. In this 12 minute podcast, David Jacobs and his crew reveal the success of their vigil. CHCC is a Southern Baptist Convention church, but doesn't advertise it as such. We can understand why that is, as evidenced in our reports, "Choose Life, Not War!" and "WHTT Asks Southern Baptist Convention Messengers To Choose Life Not War" that challenge Southern Baptists.

Protesters Greet Ivanka Trump During California Stop

We Hold These Truths' California, Central Valley, Outreach Director, Dave Jacobs, spotted media at the Fresno, CA airport, while he was driving by. He found out that President Donald Trumps' daughter, Ivanka was arriving in Fresno for a Republican fundraising luncheon. Dave retreived his signs and went back to the airport to greet Ivanka and her entourage. Chants of "No More Wars For Israel" can be heard on the video report showing Ivanka leaving the airport. With some super sleuthing, Dave was able to find out where Ivanka was heading for lunch. Then, Dave and his crew showed up at the offices of Harris Construction with some other protestors. This got reported in local TV news reports (1 min. 18 seconds).

Franklin Graham Goes to Bat for Israel

Millions of "zionized" Christians have been jumping for joy with the moving of the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Among them is Franklin Graham, son of deceased evangelist, Billy Graham. Evidence that Franklin Graham is a genuine, "zionized" Christian should be obvious to the intuitively obvious to the casual observer in these two articles: "Franklin Graham links return of Christ to opening of US embassy in Jerusalem," "Franklin Graham Speaks at Israeli Embassy." Franklin Graham has conducted a "Decision America" California. Friends of We Hold These Truths, in Fresno, CA conducted a vigil at the event with remarkable results. In this 15 minute zinger of a program we learn from Kitty Jacobs that the Graham tour has been meeting with opppostion at other stops. One of Kitty's signs asks the question, "Is Jesus or the State of Israel the Fulfillment of Prophecy. Choose!"

Controversy Around The Dead Sea Scrolls

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science has hosted a "Dead Sea Scrolls" exhibit, presented by the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA). Chuck Carlson of We Hold These Truths visited the exhibit and discovered a subtle controversy that is analyzed in this 33 minute podcast with Craig Hanson and Palestinian Pastor Jamal Bishara. Craig Hanson takes a Biblical look into the idea that Jesus, not the modern state of Israel, is the Vine, as referred to in the New Testament. The Denver Post noted another controversy in an article, "'Dead Sea Scrolls' exhibit in Denver illuminates the mysterious origins of major world religions," - "In December, the IAA canceled a major Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition at a museum in Frankfurt after German authorities refused to guarantee their return if the scrolls were claimed by Palestinians or Jordanians. Palestinian activists have argued that the scrolls do not belong to Israel because they were first found during the 1940s in caves in the West Bank." This is a very unique program, as Pastor Jamal joined our podcast while attending the Southern Baptist Convention's annual meeting held this year in Dallas. Pastor Jamal and other Southern Baptists are working to keep politics out of the SBC and focusing on winning souls to Christ. He reported that many Southern Baptists were questioning the appearance of Vice President Mike Pence, a "zionised" Christian, at the convention.

Can US Empire Sustain Its War Based Economy

The US has a war based economy requiring enemies and serial wars to sustain its "empire." That fact should be intuitively obvious to the casual observer, but it isn't widely believed in the US. Former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura reveals truths about the perilous plight of the America, that is an "Empire in crisis." The US federal debt is skyrocketing with ever increasing amounts budgeted to maintain our military and the security state. Jesse Ventura and Brigida Santos discuss, on RT, the fate of the global order and why some experts predict American hegemony will end by 2030. Jeffress offered up the prayer of dedication and Hagee the benediction. Rabbi Reacts To Trump's Jerusalem Eternal Capital of Jewish People

After President Donald Trump annouced that the US would move its embassy in Israel to the "eternal capital of the Jewish people, Jerusalem," Orthodox Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro analyzed Trump's claim: "The Jewish Nation don’t have a capital, a capital is a political concept. We are not a country, we are a people, a nation established on Torah Judaism. Yes, Jerusalem is a Holy place but that doesn’t make it our capital. It is a Zionist concept that Jews are not a religion, but a nationality/race...Zionists say that the Jews became a people when they entered Israel. Not true - it happened at Mount Sinai, before we even entered the Land of Israel. Step 1 for Zionism was to nationalize the Jewish people. Step 2 for Zionism was that they say Israel is their country...The modern state of "Israel" was founded by people who wanted to create a country in the middle east. Somehow they say that this country is the country of Jews worldwide. How? They claim to represent every Jew, a completely unfounded claim. The Jewish people had nothing to do with the creation of this state. The Zionists did. The majority of religious Jews at the time did not want Israel to represent them at the state’s founding. Ben Guirion, Israel's first Prime Minister agreed with his generation's leading Rabbis to never claim that "Israel" represents worldwide Jewry as it would be dangerous to Jews worldwide. It casts them as dually loyal. They can never be fully loyal to their home country if they are also loyal to "Israel". He later went back on his agreement." Occasionally Truth About Palestine Gets Reported on MSM

CBS News aired on May 14, 2018 a most amazing and insightful, 9 minute interview with Noura Erakat, a Palestinian American, human rights attorney, activist and an Assistant Professor at George Mason University. Professor Erakat explains the Palestinian side in the context of the ongoing demonstrations by Gazans and killings by Israel of Palestinians in Gaza, and, the dedication of the US embassy in Jerusalem. After reflecting on the interview, Noura made this comment on her FB page: "I want to clarify my comments on the CBS interview regarding Hamas. In the beginning I said, "...Palestinians don't want Hamas either..." It was a mistake on my part to make it seem like critique of Hamas is absolutist. I meant to say, and should have said, "not all Palestinians support Hamas..." in order to demonstrate the point that that is a straw man argument and a distraction from what is happening on the ground. I own that and it is a reflection that I am still learning to respond well and effectively under pressure. May we all continue to grow and work together for freedom." Nothing unites Americans and Israelis like a good enemy to hate and wail about, and, to go to war against. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pulled out all the stops with his sophomoric slide show, "Iran Lied," designed to demonize Iran further by claiming Iran was pursuing nuclear weapon development, inspite of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) that limited Iran from developing nuclear weapons, since it was signed in 2015. Only problem is, it was all old news gong as far back as 2003. Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, challenged Netanyahu with an article, "After Netanyahu Speech, UN Reiterates Found No Traces of Iran Nukes." Palestininan Teenager Ahed Tamimi Stands Up to Israel's Military Kangaroo Court

After her cousin was shot in the head by an Israele soldier, Palestinian Ahed Tamimi made the "slap heard around the world" upon a heavily armed IDF soldier. She was arrested in a night raid, as is the usual IDF modus operandi. This 2 minuted video, "The Interegation of Ahed Tamimi, 26 December, 2017 at Shaar Binyaminpolice station" needs to be seen and passed on to educate others about the brutal Israeli practices used against Palestinian youth. "Chemical Attack" Evidence in Syria Debunked

Hassan Diab, a young boy from Douma, Syria didn't know he was being recruited for a "chemical attack" video that was made by some local rebels, and, that went viral. The US, UK and France used this type of evidence to justify a military strike on Syria. Evgeny Poddubny, a war correspondent from Russian broadcaster VGTRK, found the boy in the video. Hassan's "story differed from the one presented by the activists and later propagated by the mainstream media. He was in the basement with his mother, who said they ran out of food, when they heard some noise outside.  'Somebody was shouting that we had to go to the hospital, so we went there. When I came in, some people grabbed me and started pouring water over my head,' he told Evgeny Poddubny...Hassan confirmed that he was the boy in the video, and was very scared when the whole situation unfolded. He is now fine and shows no symptoms of having experienced a chemical attack two weeks ago." This 2 minute video should lead any honest observer to question the US government's policy of shooingt first and asking questions later. Why is another deadly gas attack on a rebel area near Damascus instantly blamed on the government of Syria by the US and her allies, without proof? Creative Palestinian Non-Violent Resistance of the Scientific Kind

Palestinians have developed a number of creative, non-violent ways to challenge the brutal Israeli military occupation of Palestine. One of the more widely known forms of non-violent resistance is the BDS (Boycotts, Divestment & Sanctions) movement that was started in 2005 by about 150 Palestinian civil groups and joined by activists all around the world. When we spent a month in Palestine, based in Bethlehem, this past summer with the Holy Land Trust, one very innovative form of non-violent resistance came to our attention. We met Dr. Mazin & Jessie Qumsiyeh, who founded the Palestine Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainability and the Palestine Museum of Natural History that is associated with Bethlehem University. This 14 minute video is a talk by Dr. Qumsiyeh, given at the meeting of the Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN) on Dec. 4, 2017. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo. Professor Qumsiyeh’s paper dealt with challenges and opportunities for sustainable development in the 21st century with globalized systems. He highlighted the example of the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability at Bethlehem University in areas of research, education, and environmental conservation. As the only Palestinian speaker at this conference, Prof. Qumsiyeh took the opportunity to also highlight the issues of Israeli colonial policies that effect sustainability in Palestine.
